Baptiste Juguera

From an early age, Baptiste Juguera was deeply interested in music, taking lessons at the Conservatoire of Montauban. He furthered his studies with three years at the School of Music in Mirecourt, where he performed with various chamber ensembles. His passion for wood and woodworking was sparked in childhood, as his father, a cabinetmaker, often brought him into the workshop.

In 2011, Baptiste graduated from France’s National School of Lutherie (Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume) in Mirecourt and moved to Montpellier to hone his craft in violin, viola, and cello making under Frédéric Chaudière. His instruments are inspired by the great Italian masters of the Renaissance who set the standards of lutherie. Today, Baptiste’s instruments can be found in Paris, London, South Korea, Washington D.C., Seattle, Japan, and New York.

Since 2012, Baptiste has operated his own workshop in Montpellier, France.
